The work for this position is performed outdoors- you will be exposed to inclement weather and temperatures.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Pre-trip vehicles before departure

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Basic preventive maintenance of vehicles: check fluid levels, lights, hoses, belts etc.
• Assist Auto Technicians as needed
• Fuel vehicles when necessary

• Interior:
  • Inspect interior components: lights, switches gauges etc.
  • Inspect wheelchair securement tracks are clean and free of debris to prevent safety issues
  • Ensure all safety equipment is present.
  • Replenish equipment in vehicles as directed

• Exterior:
  • Inspect exterior of vehicle
  • Inspect tires, body damage
  • Lubricate ramps, hinges, and doors as needed
  • Replace headlights, taillights and other as needed
  • Remove snow during the winter
  • Inspect and replenish vehicle fluids as needed

• Pre-Start vehicles and jump-start vehicles that fail to start as needed
• Remove snow and salt around main entrances, walkways, in between vehicles and parking .
• Perform other duties as assigned
