Description

Provide A Ride is a premier provider of passenger transportation services. We have more than 28 years of experience in the transportation field and work 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Our fleet includes wheelchair vans, passenger vans, and shuttle buses. We operate non-emergency programs under contracts with governmental agencies, healthcare providers, ADA Paratransit programs, social service agencies, school routes and more.  Our company maintains, details, and fuels the vehicles on-site.

We are currently seeking a FULL-TIME Dispatcher for the following shift:

                           

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30 am – 7:00 pm

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 9:30 am – 8:00 pm

JOB DUTIES

  • Pre-plan trips to be assigned to drivers during the day and next day trips before closing Dispatch.
  • Assign trips using state of the art software to efficiently place trips.
  • Communicate with drivers using computer-based messaging as well as the telephone system.
  • Provide client information to drivers through the Nextel system.
  • Communicate with drivers in a professional manner on and off their mobile devices.
  • Inform superiors in management about on-the-road accidents.
  • Call a tow service and provide accurate information for pick-up of vehicles that breakdown; inform superiors in the management of vehicle problems and dispatch driver to repair shop if the problem is urgent.
  • Provide customers accurate and professional information on the status of their pick-up.
  • Handle and attempt to resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Assist Customer Service Department as needed by answering phones and entering trip information.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen.
  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal background check.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Customer Service and/or supervisory experience preferred.
